Just finished the last episode of sets three, and was reminded why this is my favourite show of all time. I think the comparisons to 24 are quite unfair–they both deal with terrorism, but the similarities end there. Spooks is far more cerebral, and spends more effort on character and plot development.Unlike other reviewers, I felt archives three was every bit as good (and in many ways even better) than the previous two. The departure of several main characters was handled exceedingly well, and while they’ll be missed, I think their replacements are quite strong and as such, the transition has been quite smooth. Puppy
Surprising. Engaging. Clever. Funny. erotic. Challenging. Not a Sundance kind of indie crowd pleaser with lashings of cheese and sentimentality, but it’s definitely charming and memorable. How about this - Puppy has some inventive uses for a vacuum cleaner and a Polaroid camera, and then there is a bit with a candle that you’d probably only see in an emergency ward, and there are some dogs, 3 I think, but it doesn’t go all that well for them. Why is Bernard Curry not a big star here, he is so fuckable, especially when he is shaved, I could drown in his eyes, not to mention his butt which gets a good airing. But hormones aside, he and Nadia Townsend are awesome. They have a lot of sexual chemistry. So that’s my ten lines. Go see it for something unique, funny and erotic.

Saving Grace: Season 3
I’m far from being a prude, but sometimes I’m still amazed at what cable can get away with (I still remember when Playtex had to show their bras on manikins).At first, I was reluctant to watch Saving Grace because the commercials portrayed Grace as a lost, angry rebel who finds redemption. But on a friend’s recommendation, I gave it a shot and was really impressed. This titillating show offers a little of everything. Grace is tough and indulgent, and makes no apologies for it. I find her to be one of the most real character on TV.Moving forward, I hope Grace isn’t somehow ’saved’ and thereby transformed the fact that she’s struggling between her demons and her faith is what makes her character identifiable, and the show a true pleasure to watch.
